The aim of Pocket Panto is to produce a small scale traditional family pantomime with large scale production values and take it out into the local community to venues such as schools, libraries, pubs, clubs and community centres. These performances will not only be at the traditional Christmas period but will be throughout the year. (Try telling a five to eleven year old it’s too early for panto!) Using a cast of three talented professional actors, Pocket Panto will bring the whole pantomime experience to each venue. With live singing, dancing, slapstick, audience participation and with the emphasis very much on family entertainment, there truly will be something for everyone.

POCKET PANTO MISSION STATEMENT
To attract and involve a wide range of audiences, particularly those experiencing theatre for the first time, to inventive yet traditional pantomimes within their local community.In order to achieve this, the company has the following policies: - To work particularly with and for people who do not normally have access to theatre for geographical, socio economic or cultural reasons
- To encourage and enable people to develop their own theatre and related skills
- To work to create a popular theatre form which is open, exciting and accessible
- To produce pantomimes which will encourage and celebrate this traditional theatre form
- To examine issues of common concern to all those involved through the choice of material for workshops, projects and performances
- To challenge prejudice and bigotry through the company’s organisation, working processes and final product
- To achieve a diversity of influence that runs throughout the company’s work and consciousness
